“Have you not heard of Emotional Freedom Techniques?”

I was living in Chicago, working at a spa that focused on energywork, when I first came across EFT.  I had just received a session from a fellow practitioner when he handed me a piece of paper explaining that I was to tap with my fingers on various locations on my body while reciting certain words.  I had no clue what this was about, and said as much.

EFT: A Group Experience

This past winter, I drove out to Port Ludlow, WA to show a documentary called The Tapping Solution about EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques.  EFT is a modality that has altered the way I understand the potential of healing.  Sometimes simply called “Tapping” or “Meridian Tapping,” EFT involves tapping your fingertips on various acupressure points while repeating key phrases.  The purpose being to release the emotional causes of physical distress, past hurts, trauma, negative or uncomfortable emotions (hatred, anger, fear…) and the difficult issues that come up in one’s life… more

EFT for Diet, Boredom and Smoking

Here is a fun story that really proved to me the power and amazing usefulness of EFT when it comes to helping overcome an addiction.  This occurred in 2007 at a spa I was working for doing Massage and Energywork in Chicago.

During break, I asked a co-worker how she was.  She exclaimed with a pout that she was hungry.  I offered to get her some food, to which she replied that it was the first day of her new diet, and she had already eaten her afternoon snack… more
